Group diet

Ive been stuck at the same weight for 5 or 6 weeks. It's better than gaining. I started today only drinking water. No diet sodas.

I lost quite a bit just by switching to unleaded tea. I still needed a little caffeine.

Sometimes not gaining back is just as good. You won't have ground to make up, when you start down again.

Something I learned, in case it might be helpful for you:
If you don't have some kind of a program, change up what you do. Your body gets use to certain routines and you can plateau. By changing stuff up, you can gain muscle mass and lose fat easier. Muscle mass will burn through fat even when not doing anything.

I'll take some of your folks' weight... I've been on a diet for 15 years trying to gain 25 lbs, and there's no way I can do it.. I'm 6' and 140 at most...

y'know.... Motorcross racing is the 2nd most physically demanding sport there is.. if you have some rough terrain and a good bike, I'd venture to guess that if you rode a motorbike for an hour or two a day, you'd have some great fun, and you would get a workout from it... just keep the rubber side down

I'm doing terrible, but I have lost 10 pounds since January. I guess that is better than yoyo dieting. I'm definatly eating healthy. I wish I had lost 40 in this amount of time. I've decided to amp it up considerably.

I just saw this thread. I have always been overweight, and I have never been motivated to lose the weight. It was always my family telling me that I ought to, but I have finally decided for myself that it is time to do something. I have been dieting since January, but I didn't do a very good job during the school year. By the time the kids leave and I get done grading papers, I don't feel like exercising. When summer started, I quit drinking sodas. I am trying to just drink water. I have also started running. I have never been an athlete, but I got the Couch to 5K app on my iPhone, and I have been doing that. Plus, we have been in the hay field hauling square bales. If the scales were right, I lost 5 pounds last week. I know that won't stay consistent; because, the hay hauling caused a lot of sweating, and I wasn't eating a lot. I just want to feel better. I am only 24, and my joints ache and I have no get up and go. My goal is to lose a total of 80 pounds, which would put me at 200. I don't think I've been there since junior high school. I am trying to lose increments. My goal for June and July is to lose 10 pounds. I think I've finally got my mind is the right direction to make this happen.

What do you mean by clean protein?

Don't get caught up with the hype of protein shakes, bars etc. Grilled chicken breast, grilled beef, eggs eggs and more eggs. Pork is good but limit it it has more fat in it. If you need.a protein shake after a workout use regular choc milk. Use lemon pepper or some other form of salt free seasonings. Typical day : breakfast 3 eggs whole wheat toast, cup of oatmeal . 2 hrs later meat 4 oz and.1/2 cup of veg. Repeat this 3 more times in the day every 2 hrs. Eat supper min 2 hrs before bed and. Then fruit for snack at bed. It will take about a week to get used to eating this much food but after that you will be. Starving every .2 hrs. I did a program Several years ago and lost 62lbs in 6 weeks with moderate exercise and eating right. Pay no attention to my grammar or punctuation I'm typing this on a bike at the gym.

watch the eggs as the yolks are high in cholesterol, non-salted monkey nuts are a good form of protein but not to many, four brazil nuts a day are good for lowering LDL cholesterol.
I have lost about 112 lbs in the past two years, a whole body, and have only a few more to go, it has been hard and is even harder to loose those last few, but perseverance will prevail and I aim to get there. Good Luck to all who try.

Don't the monkeys get ticked about this? "I don't often eat monkey nuts, but when I do I prefer salted. "

If I don't stop puttin the pounds on in either going to join this group or start smoking again. I don't think I can get anymore active than I am. And i eat pretty healthy. But the dang beer carbs are getting me I think

If you are serious about being fit, losing fat, or working out visit www.bodybuilding.com

Click on "Forum" on left hand side.

Scroll down to "Fat loss". Read the stickeys. It is the only real way to do it.

There is also a section called "Nutrition" I highly recommend.

I don't want to wait that long, but in theory if I lost 2 or 3 pounds a month some day I would be skinny. I wish I had came to that conclusion 3 years ago.

Any member or hopefully members on here want to go on a group diet with me. I am ashamed to say I need to lose 73 pounds. Maybe if the eyes of all the other members as well as ourselves are watching it will help. Just a suggestion. I started today. I have always been a big man, but this 73 pounds is rediculous. I'm going to really focus on supper time, and only eat fruit for an in between meal snack. Come on who is with me?

Never had problem with weight, maybe that's why the nursing home girls like me. But you got all my support Bigfoot. One thing I know about eating and drinking (for me its wine). If I sit around, I do it out of sheer boredom. I am retired and sooooo happy I got my farm to keep me going. You can get into a lot of bad habits if you don't keep busy.
