Any member or hopefully members on here want to go on a group diet with me. I am ashamed to say I need to lose 73 pounds. Maybe if the eyes of all the other members as well as ourselves are watching it will help. Just a suggestion. I started today. I have always been a big man, but this 73 pounds is rediculous. I'm going to really focus on supper time, and only eat fruit for an in between meal snack. Come on who is with me?

I need to loose 40 lbs but I can not get my wife to buy into it.

she likes me fat and homely.....

been on medicines for all the fat old man diseases for years and she keeps shoving the carbs at me...I have had meals with three kinds of potaotes as my three vegetables.....

Perkins (my horse) has been fussing about my weight and grumbling about his social security for a couple of years now.....

I want to die fat and happy. Skinny people seem to suffer more than overweight folks when their number is called.

After my doctors visit this past Monday I'm really considering it. I'm on all those pills too and all because of my weight. Bought some new overalls last week and have to get them hemmed because my gut is larger than my inseam and the store didn't carry that size.

My doc pushed the book Your Best Body at 40+ and told me to buy it, then actually read and follow it. He says it's the best thing he's found for us older guys. Anyone heard of it?

I am in Bigfoot and I need to lose almost the same amount. In my case I could get a quick start and lose 20 pounds of ugly fat by cutting off my head.
Yea, and then you would probably stand around waiting for somebody else to pick it up for you. :cboy:

FWIW fellas after getting the crap scared out of me in June i went on a very simple diet..if it's white, it's wrong. Lost 25lbs over 3 months and got my sugar down from 7.7 to 5.5.

It's real simple. Little or no bread other than rye, little or no sugar in any form, no soda of any kind, little or no potatoes, pasta or rice. It also helps to knock the sideboards off your plate.

34 years ago I lost 54 pounds. Took me about a year and a half. Wasn't trying. Don't really know why. I'd like to put 10 or 20 back on. 6 foot and 165 now.

I won't be partaking in weight loss activity. Good luck to you.

How are we going to handle this? Think the mods will mind if this thread runs for a while. The Australian talk thread has been going a while. By the way I was offered an Oreo ball wallow go. I turned it down, because I felt like all eyes would be on me here. This might work.

have to have an honor system weigh in
periodic reweighs like a performance test in reverse
time period
biggest loser gets a free date with a crowder girl or CB...winners choice.

Vic, I did the same thing about four years ago. Went to a no carb diet and lost 60 lbs in about 4 months. It worked for me because I could eat all the meat, greens, fruit, dairy and whatever else didn't have carbs instead of just a few small portions with carbs. I'd fudge occasionally and that would put in limbo for a few days, then I'd start dropping again. I stopped drinking cold drinks and lost 10 lbs before I even started the diet, and switched to Crystal Light and water for my drinks. Sure did miss my beer tho.

I try to focus in on my supper every single night.. and my breakfast,..and lunch.. and snacks.. :cboy: guess I always figured I needed afew extra pounds in case I get sick.. gotta have something to fall back on.
