FWIW fellas after getting the crap scared out of me in June i went on a very simple diet...if it's white, it's wrong. Lost 25lbs over 3 months and got my sugar down from 7.7 to 5.5.

So your on Michele O's diet plan? :D

Gonna do some shooting today. I got up, went to the bathroom and weighed myself..198.5 i was overjoyed to finally get that far under 200lbs. Went back to bed for an hour and did the same thing again just to see that weight and i weighed 202....

I am shooting the scale at high noon...........

It's best to weigh yourself 3 times and average them. My scales first reading is always off.

Okay, I'll join in, too. I'd like to lose 12-15 lbs.
I can't do the low carb thing, I'll go insane without pasta. Already don't eat very much bread, and rarely eat rice. I believe low fat in dangerous. I have a good diet generally. I don't like beer and wine is good for you.
Hmmm...I guess all that's left to give up is chocolate.... :cry2:....this will be very difficult, but I'll start with a week at a time.... :help:

As of this morning I have lost 9 pounds. My goal is to come through to January 1st one pound lighter. I have also changed my goal. I now want to lose 52 more pounds. I think I could have lost more, but my plantar fasciitis has came back. It hasn't bothered me in about two years. My activity level is normal, I'm just not doing anything extra. When the days get longer, maybe I can ride my bike.

There have been some carbs get in my way on occasion but I'm still down. Depends on the day I weigh because it ranges from -10 to -12. The wife is cooking a bunch of chicken spaghetti and Red Lobster biscuits for a Christmas gathering tonight, so that's gonna set me back a ways because I like them both way too much.

Don't know how I missed this thread. How are yall doing with losing weight. I changed my lifestyle 5 years ago and lost 62 lbs. I still work out 4 days a week. I quit worrying what the scale said a couple of years ago. my goal every day is to be bigger and stronger than my 19yr old and 21 yr old sons. As I get older I hope these changes will off set my family history.

I must not be doing good. I'm still 52 pounds from my goal. That better than gaining. I will do much better when the days get longer. Still no reason, I couldn't lose a pound or two a week.

Let me guess, if you stop losing you'll cut back a little on the macaroni :D .

Right! Once in high school, once in your mid twenties and once in your early thirties.

AND after you have married someone very proficient in the kitchen, you should just throw the scale out the window ! :tiphat:

Wondering how y'all were making out with your diet. Wife went to the doctors with me today, and she says we are on a diet, the whole family. No more cookies, cakes or anything good, says she not going to bake anymore. I going to shoot for 22lbs. If I make it there I will go for 20 more pounds. Been 20 years since I saw 200lbs. and I really can't see being able to get back there. Sounds like were going to try.

Ive been stuck at the same weight for 5 or 6 weeks. It's better than gaining. I started today only drinking water. No diet sodas.
