Our first calf of the year was born this past Friday. She was born 14 days early at 62 lbs. She is the first calf that we have had that was sired by JOPA Elation Power. Here is the calf at 2 days.

And this is the mother of the heifer. This photo was taken last spring, when she was 4 1/2 years.

The first calf is officially due on March 3rd. We will have 21 calves that will be sired by our herd bull, BB Uncle Tony, and the remaining 6 cows that we AIed are due on March 10th. Calving season is off to a good start so far, and I am excited to see the rest hit the ground in the coming weeks.
