You can't. I take a stick and stit up the mound then spray with any insecticide. Come back in five minutes and all are dead.
Extinguisher plus actual works really well and is the only one I have found approved for pasture.
We used to spray orthene, worked super especially in our hayfields and was listed for it.
It and seven got outlawed way back 20 or so years ago here.

Yes that is what I have been told at TAMU workshop.
Our fire ant has evolved that all the workers have the same DNA from mound to mound.
If you mix them they don't fight anymore just go to work rebuilding. Plum scary!
UT has released the wasp that eats them.
