What is a good ration for a cow and calf herd on pasture in KY.? Get different suggestions from local mills. Last winter winter used Crystalyx BGF-30 tubs and hand fed a little with them. Want to make is easier labor wise because I work full time off farm. One local mill suggests 1% of body weight per day. Read a article in Beef mag that suggested less than daily feedings was good. What is your thoughts on this? Local mill was suggesting 1/3 corn, 1/3 soy hulls, 1/3 distillers grain, and vitamins a&d.
