These are two that are going to the feedlot soon. They were younger then the rest so I kept them back to grow out some before sending them.

The feed lot is where the vast majority of my calves end up. Maybe some day I can get to the point where I have more to sell as breeding stock then feeders. :roll: Here is to hoping. :p
 
Given that we are in the midst of herd expansion (unless you are in the drought belt) those heifers are nice enough that they SHOULD be worth more as replacements to someone than as feeders. Assuming you want to go through the hassle of marketing them and haven't already implanted them that is. If you can collect a set of 20 like that, I would definitely try marketing them through the Cattle Today classifieds or your state Cattle Magazine. Of course the feeder price is nothing to sneeze at these days either.
