I don't know a lot about miniature cattle, but I suspect if he was full size he'd make a better bull than a lot I've seen nowadays.Mini herf bull. Try to sell or cut him. I think he's good enough to try to sell.View attachment 34553
Really don't know what he will weigh. Suspect somewhere around 600 lbs. I haven't measured him but he's under 32 inches. I think he's 8 months. I weaned him awhile back but had to put him back temporarily in pasture with mom because we had wind damage and need to fix fences at barn lot. I can look on age. Thinking I'm going to take to vet. Knock horns off and halter break himI don't know a lot about miniature cattle, but I suspect if he was full size he'd make a better bull than a lot I've seen nowadays.
How old is he, weight, and height?
Yea I know. I will advertise him a little. If nothing else I will eat him lol.If you have a market for them. A month or so ago I watched about 15 mini Angus that included one bull sell at the sale. They basically gave them away. Minis are a specialty breed that have to marketed different than run of the mill beef cattle.
Agreed.Selling at a regular auction would be just like selling wagyu at a regular sale.know your market.
There is strong demand and market for them in the right place ,
Yes went to breeder I assume. Prices are very good here. I raise a few full size Horned herefords and got rid of Minis . I have had Horned and polled cattle for along time. recently My mother had some health issues so I am in rebuilding phase again. Everthing I have is now mine and no partners. That is great for you to have found a sale and he found a new home... For that price he surely went for a breeder. He was a nice looking bull...
Mini's aren't for everyone, and they are not going to be the "wave of the future"... although you never know, we might go back to the "belt buckle cattle" of the 50's someday...
Do you raise standard sized cattle and mini's ? I see you have been a longtime member... Tell us more of your latest farming situation. How is the current higher prices affecting things out there where you are?
