He doesn't know what he's doing. That is a tiny cedar. Cedar are not deep rooted. He's making life hard on himself and risking it too.

I got smacked in the head yesterday with a grapevine. It had a diameter of about 1 inch and I caught it in my rake while I was bush hogging. I have a good sized knot on my forehead from it. Saw a few stars though. They were purty.
