We got by-passed again (just enough to screw up haybaling) ....Next drought is probably already on it's way. Not that we are hurting right now, should be good hay baling weather the next 10 days...but missing this one is going to show on the pastures in a few days.

We got a total of 5 inches this week, we are pushing 30 inches rainfall to date. That is half our yearly total in 3 1/2 months. Like to got stuck this morning had to use the tractor to pull the goosneck in and load cows. But it could turn off tomorrow so I ain't complaining.

Rutted it up good huh?

I got 3 inches last night . Coastal field is ready to cut now . Looks like at least one good cutting this year for sure .

Drought started here again on Friday. Yesterday it actually got clear up to 76. I am enjoying every glorious ray of sunshine. Monsoon returns again on Wednesday and Thursday. But it look like semi dry weather for this coming weekend.

It's not looking good. No tops available because everyone wanted to bale whatever they had and I hear the supply of spriggs is down too. Good sized cracks are already developing and the 40% chance of rain predicted for early next week has already vanished. Good thing we had some Spring rains to at least bale enough hay to get us through fro a while!

 Cut a patch of "sacrifice" haygrazer today in hopes my Uncles luck comes back...Back when he farmed it, everytime he cut it got a 2 inch rain.

we got the baler man coming in a week or 2 or as soon as he gets done baling a place not far from ours.got about 15acs of thick rye grass to bale.vette i know a guy like your uncle.an we would not cut hay at all when we seen him laying down alot of hay.because we knew it would get wet.

I don't know how accurate those guys are but that sure looks good for us ..

Looks pretty good for us too. We got a good rain 2 weeks ago but after it was over we had a week straight of 25 mph winds. Dried us out quick. Looks like it hasn't rained in 2 months. :bang:

I don't know...May and June...minus 20% from normal on precip and 3 degrees hotter than normal doesn't look all that great. Going into Fall starts to look better.
