Down cow won't drink

Have a 4 cwt calf down. It will eat and will drink water out of a bucket but can't get up. I've been speding a little time with it and may try getting it up with the tractor and the lifter but I'm afraid it may be paralyzed and I may have to put it down. I hate it.

We have never had any luck after one goes down. With or without vet, tubings, iv's, etc. Just had one recently that calved one evening, found her in the pond the next morning, at the edge, got her out and fed and watered her for over a week. Had the vet out, she gave her an IV, but even though her appetite was good, she just never got back up.
