Don't you just love it when the forces of the universe prove once again the world is round and arrogance is brought to its knees in a humbling train wreck? When these forces remind those deserving the lesson that each person puts his shoes on one at a time and no matter how deep the well - every well has a bottom. When these same forces show that no matter how fearlessly the leashed dog charges the leash has a limit and when reached it snatches the dog back into reality?

Maybe I'm warped from a misguided childhood where the television shows depicted the good honest folks prospered and the villains perished at the end of a rope. Where excitement was gained on Saturday night watching Demolition Derby. Yes, I enjoyed the $hit out of that show and had forgottten all about it and these other things till I recently watched all these events unfold in real life. In a word Brilliant! Only complaint is the world doesn't turn a little faster but it does give me solice that it does turn.

You sound like George Peppard, "I love it when a plan comes together"

I won't say who other than it was sortof a wall street banker type who took some stockholders for a painful ride for several years. Rather than robbing people with a gun he used a pen, rather than having a gang he had a bunch of cronies and political connections who owed him favors for donations he made with other people's money. Unfotunately - some of it mine. When investigated by the feds, he simply hired the investigator and it was back to business as usual. His belief in his invunerablilty led him to an omnipotent view of himself but this was recently tempered when the FBI escorted him off the premises - for the second time no less. I doubt he will spend a day in jail because these type don't. He has too much dirt on those who control the keys and it could be embarrassing. But this is fine, I find solice in knowing his arrogance has led him to believe he is much smarter than he is. And maybe he is. Maybe you can pay back $34 million as a short order cook at the Huddle House. If not, I'm thinking he will get up close and personal with a Smith and Wesson which I will gladly loan him the bullet so long as I get the casing back. Heck, on second thought, he can keep the casing.

The guy you gave the proceeds from the calves was a crooked ceo and you didn't see it coming?????

We had a guy like that and he would use other people's money to make investments for himself. When the investment paid off he pocketed the earnings and put the money back where it belonged. but when they lost he blamed it on the market. What he didn't expect is that people started talking and comparing their statements. He only got 10 years probation with something short of 1.5 mil in restitution. Crazy thing is he is working in another money related biz and will never be able to pay people back unless he steals it. The guy still walks around town with his head held high.

He may be smarter then some cop, but I'll wager he isn;t smarter then a whole bunch of cops.

No. That went wonderfully. In fact, the only person outside of family that knows all the details handed the cash to his wife since he couldn't get off work and his wife cried on her shoulder for twenty minutes saying how the gift was a blessing and she knows now she did the right thing by taking the child and her belief in God was ever stronger. When she left, she again sat in her car for several more minutes crying and giving thanks. My co-conspirator said it was so touching it even made her cry. And her husband is still driving the same old beat up truck he has driven for years and last time I checked, the boy is doing fine and he loves cows.

See, you just proved the world is round.
