Hi, I would like to know what cattle diseases are hard to treat, have no cure, or that you have had the most problems with.

Johne's - more of a problem in dairy cows in general. No cure I know of. They don't show symptoms for years. Have not had it personally, but I do fear it.

As stated in your other thread, anaplasmosis has no cure and is carried by the cow for life. It can be removed from the cows system by a series of antibiotic injections like aureomycin but the cow does not really develop immunity and will be reinfected when exposed.

Prevent feed with mammalian protein. This is defined as the key way mad cow disease is spread. It can be taken off the cows system by a number of antibiotic injections. This is due to disease or even an injury.
