Cutting Dog.

Last years calves to the north.

Young breds to the south.

Of course one hiefer has to sneak in behind the tractor to visit the young breds.

With a bit of help Trixie tracks her down.

Trixie doing her cutting horse impersonation.

After a few times past the corner gate Trixie gets her back where she belongs.

She feels a sense of accomplishment. Good Dog!

I'm struggling with oposites right now. One listens to everything I tell it to do but won't move until I tell it to do something and one is so independant that I can't even tell her to get into the truck but she works as well as any that I've had... when she wants to. :bang:

Steffie was a heck of a gate watcher, I remember my dad helped us spread manure one time and he went through an area that the cattle were in without closing gates. I saw this and gave him heck ,he replies No need to close the gates, Steffie is watching them. :roll: Well she was for a while, but as soon as they behaved she got bored and came home.. :lol: :help: Nikki has been a real God send this year. I do not know what I would do without her help sometimes ,makes life a lot easier for sure when you have to do everything by yourself .

Thanks Hillsdown how about some pics of Steffie working?....it snowed for over 3 hours today. No accumulation just a nice gentle snow with big flakes..I am very thankful...
