I have a pasture that I overgrazed for 2 years not knowing how dumb that is. I had it limed last fall. Ran a renovator with bluegrass, orchard grass and perrinial rye per the county ext. agents directions. Fert. per the soil test, all done about 3-4 weeks ago. Sprayed 2,4D on sunday to kill the weeds. The new grass is hard to see but the older grasses are about 6-8" tall. Should I cut it to about 4" now so the new grasses have a chance or should I wait until everything goes to seed. I am not allowing any cattle on it or cutting any hay until I can hopefully get this field back into better shape. I am painfully aware of my mistakes and would like some advice on helping this field. Thanks for any advice.
