To trap, you need to know what you are trapping. Cabela's has a small game camera on sale for around $60. Motion sets it off. I know this would be an additional expense but maybe you could use it for something else. ;-)

.22 magnum will stop em in thier tracks just about everytime, coons, dillers, skunks, possums. Don't have groundhogs and such so can't help ya there. Afterwards, mother natures cleanup crew will take care of em.

On a side note, a 24 hour dead coon doesn;t stink as bad a a couple hour dead hard shell possum. Don;t know about softshells. Usually haul them off right away.

Wal-Mart has the same Camera for about the same price. save on shipping.
