Cow party!

Help Support CattleToday:

We did that about 3-4 months ago during the day and we had one middle-age Brangus cow who was fascinated with the ashes. She literally rolled her forehead all around the burnt pile of wood and feed sacks. I kept waiting to see if she'd get to hot down there (or catch on fire) but nope, she kept her head down in the ashes for a good 4 minutes...yes, I counted.

i bring brush home and burn it in a spot out in the field they will travel far just to come sit next to the flames. Its crazy how nosey they are.

They need the reassurance of their peers to get really curious and courageous... one takes a step forward, the next will take 2 on a dare!

I always get a good laugh when I place an "alien object" in the field.. like a tire, a basketball, or whatever.

Cow party and party pigs: (ain't this a bunch of prime pork!!-- :lol2: )

(I actually think, in Texas, that it's illegal to sell live feral pigs to anyone other than a licensed processor)
