How long should I wait to put cow and calf back together? I weaned the calf about a month ago, but need to move the cattle together. Should I wait another month?

When the calf is 2-3 years old.

Honestly, if you want that calf to do well it needs to be fed separately. Nutrition needs are too different and won't compete well. If you have to keep them together try to train it to come in twice a day to a separate area for supplemental feeding.

If you really need to put them back together and the cow's udder has dried right up, there's no harm in putting them together and seeing what happens. You might be lucky.

I would say at least 4-5 months. When we wean ours.. we keep them separated for a good 6-8 months.. sometimes longer.
