Cost of Lime

I just had lime hauled and spread for $38/ton and I thought that was a good price. I paid $20/ton in the early 2000's so an $18 increase over 23 years is not bad.
@Big Creek I too was told the same thing @kenny thomas was told, don't waste your money just keep spreading ag lime.
 
When I worked feed stores, we used to require a minimum of 10 tons to have truck come and spread it. The cost ranged from $20-30 per ton (this was about fifteen years back). I priced some lime from the same company but a different county this year. She told me there was a minimum of 24 tons to spread at a cost of $58 per ton... With our land rent prices here, its cheaper to rent more land than to spread lime.
