Something doesn't add up. If they bought every soybean produced by the US it would take 26 days to get them all. Before the "spat" the Chinese I think bought just north of 30 million tons. So 6 days worth.

The world bean surplus did not change.
If we store a few more bushels in Asia, and store a few less bushels in North America, it may help clean up some outside piles. But, we still have a surplus of beans...
Hard to see any short term relief w/o a major drought for your neighbor.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, hay prices have spiked. So many guys growing more beans to make the tractor and combine payments, that we have shortage of old timey hay makers.

On Feb. 2, following two days of trade talks, China reportedly bought two million tons of U.S. soybeans as a sign of good faith. According to Bloomberg, state-run buyers Cofco Corp. and Sinograin were the companies involved. The soybeans are expected to be shipped between April and July 2019.
