I was thinking the same thing, not that I was around back then of course, but it sure wasn't long ago, and it's sure has changed alot.
 
Denver, things have changed a lot since you were born. Somewhere around the year you were born I sold calves as cheap as .25 a lb. Bought some top heifers at a graded sale that year weighing 345 for .38 a lb. Sold them that fall weighing over 600lb for .65 a lb. Thought I had hit the lottery.

Had a friend telling me about the same kind of thing last week from that time. He bought about 70 3wt heifers in the .30s and sold them in the fall for 75 cents.
