I am considering the purchase of an 2008 JX series tractor. An 80-90 HP to be used for round bale production.

If you own a JX tractor, I would like to hear your thoughts about the tractor.

I have a 2005 JX85 (it would be called a JX90 now) and am very happy with it. I use it mostly for haying and bale feeding in the winter. I pull a Vermeer 5500 baler and mow with a Vermeer trailed mower - TM800. All works fine.

My cousin had a JX95 and could not keep it out of the shop, 3 times for a factory recall and 6 times for things that broke or went out. He finally got rid of it last fall.

According to the Case-IH dealer the JX series chassis and engine is the same as the Fiat tractors with New sheet metal and cab. He also thinks that the Fiat tractor was one of the best long lifed tractors out there.
