Some of you are talking about haying, we are a long ways from it here. I had 2 calves in the house just to warm them up and get them going, been a long couple days.

Cover them up with straw after they have a belly full of warm milk and dried off and they are ready to go.

Not much fun when weather is like this -3c and clod north wind. Forecast is looking good for next week.

Hope it comes around soon for you so you can get your hay made for next winter- it will be here before you know it. :D Oddly enough I have always been drawn to that rough, rugged terrain like that. Cold has always been easier on me than the heat, tics, and mosquitoes.

Thanks, things warmed up and started seeding yesterday lost one calf from the wet weather scours going through the herd most get over it but some just don't respond to medication and die but I guess if that is all I lose it wont be too bad have 43 on ground around 30 more to come.
