dun & others- I'm kind of new to this website, but was watching the postings on trying to keep smaller framed cattle. Saw a posting or two about Kit Pharo's cattle- really agree with much of his philosophy- I thought I'd let you know about another breeder that follows much the same theory- Diamond D Angus of Valier Mt.
They breed for the medium size cattle, that raise above 50% of their mothers weight. One thing they and Kit both do is rate disposition- they also rate udder -both of which I am convinced is inheritable- I've never bought any of their bulls, but I have a neighbor that has, who is very impressed.
I'm just glad to see some breeders to come around to their senses and realize that big is not always better!!
