Went over a friends house That has some commercial cows and calves.
He's overstocked now and said he had a bred cow for sale.
We went down to take a look at her and she seemed heathy, wormedand vet checked, thiss'll be 2nd calve.
Thing is she is small framed maybe 800-900 lbs and by no means am i good at guessing wgt.
The hereford cow I have is prob,, 1200 lbs a big girl.
Well Im looking for some mamas, not sure how to rate her but the price is right 1/2 grand.
He said his wife didnt want to sell at barn for fear of slaughter??
Guess if she threw a nice calf i could sell her and grow the calf after about 3 months..
and right now i could use a companion for my mama cow ,i have the steers on nice grass in a new pasture. Right now i have a bull in with our cow, but hell be gone in a few weeks.
