Could be worse, a major team could pull a Louisiana Tech and decide to end their season and just stay home rather than play La Monroe in bowl game..
But, here's my picks unless the matchups change:
Baylor vs. UCLA--Holiday Bowl
Minnesota vs. Texas Tech--Texas Bowl
Oregon State vs. Texas--Alamo Bowl
Michigan State vs. TCU
Georgia Tech vs. USC--Sun Bowl USC
Iowa State vs. Tulsa--Liberty Bowl (out on a limb here)
Clemson vs. LSU--Chik-Fil-A Bowl Atlanta Clemson
Purdue vs. Oklahoma State--Heart of Dallas Bowl
Georgia vs. Nebraska--Citrus Bowl (really taking a chance on this one) Georgia
Stanford vs. Wisconsin--Rose Bowl
Florida State vs. Northern Illinois--Orange Bowl (and I hope FS puts a whoopin on 'em for screwin things up)
Florida vs. Louisville--Sugar Bowl (would love to see Louisville smack Fla just becuz but..)
Kansas State vs. Oregon--Fiesta Bowl (gonna be close--3 pts) Oregon
Oklahoma vs. Texas A&M
Alabama vs. Notre Dame--Miami (going to be another close one-7pts or less)

Bama But if I were betting I'd take the points on this one.

First of the less notable bowl games is done:

The bowl season started with a wild game Saturday as Matt Scott threw two short touchdown passes in the final 46 seconds, helping Arizona rally past Nevada, 49-48, in the New Mexico Bowl.

I thought it was a good way to start off the bowl season, although neither Nevada or Arizona had much defense. But what a great ending and beginning to the bowl season. I think Nevada is still in a shocked daze over how fast it slipped away.

Thought I would tune into the next game even if it had some teams that didn't excite me ...... Until I saw they were playing on that d@mn blue field then I found some work to do around the place. Just can't watch football on a blue field.

I'm paying attention to the game, it's not on a blue field . What's unique is this game is the first of back to back games for them. Boise State and Wa open the season next year on 8/31 playing each other....... Again.

As far as the Wildcats go, :mrgreen: getting close and yes a duck can stomp a wildcat! Wait and see.

The 5 Texas teams that have played so far--have all won. Texas, Texas Tech, SMU, Rice, Baylor.
TCU is currently leading Mich St at the half--13-0. Neither team looks terribly good tho. (TCU lost)
