I have a calf that i am feeding formula he is about month old i think. While he is chewing the cud he is dribbling a lot.
The formula is a powder that i mix up with water.

Is this common in bottle fedd calves?
Could it be just because they bring back up the cud and the formula may come back up as well?

thanks

What colour is the dribble, does it look like formula? Excessive dribble I would say is not normal. Apart from the dribble does the calf look healthy?

He has a green mouth (around, under his chin). Not really doesn't look better than another the same age. Could it be because he didn't get enough milk from the mother??

It could be that he just hasn;t got the cud chewing all figured out yet

If it is green, it sounds like he is not getting what he is grazing down properly. Lock him up for a couple of days and just give him milk and see if it dries up, have a look in his mouth, put a tube down and see if it goes down easy, have a look at the end when you pull it back up and see what it contains.
