Best ear tag for staying in?

Temple tags. I've got several that have been in 8-10 yrs and still readable

I buy pre printed Z tags, but then trace the number with paint pen, sometimes twice and microwave if I'm bored. Then put em in the cow.

I like the allflex tags, but it is nice to use the old style metal Ketchum tags as well. That way when a tag is lost it is easy to tell who the cow is. Even ear tattoos can get very hard to read.

Z tag is all I can get to last good.
I blow on the ink for 2 seconds and call it good.

Z-Tags are the only ones I have found to stay in. Only way they come out is if they tear out.

Buttons break on 2-piece tags and the back tabs on Allflex's 'A-Tag' break and they fall out - poor plastic, which Allflex is famous for and the only way they can keep profits up.

I've used Z-Tags, Allflex, Duflex, Y-Tex and Ritchey tags in the past.

Same here. Z Tags all the way. If you put your numbers on with a tagging pen put the number on, allow it to dry, then apply one more coat......numbers won't fade.

I have been using the Z-tags also. They are pretty good but I still lose some here and there. I'm convinced with a lot of brush, none of them will stay in.
