Bear tracks?

Off and on from year to year for 7 or 8 years we have had some sporadic bear activity around the area. Year before last the presence was very noticeable all summer and into the fall. Last year didn’t see any sightings or signs. Yesterday was out checking cows and fences and after working on a little stretch of fence I walked a ways down along a branch to check some more and saw these tracks in the branch.
In most places it’s just a few inches of water will dry up later in the summer.

Have you been trespassing again up in wky, brother found tracks in his little garden. Torn and ate all his sweet corn, busted a watermelon, and took a tomato or two.

There is an apple tree not much more than 30 feet from the house. There is an irrigation ditch just the other side of the tree. Year before last there was bear tracks in the mud at the edge of the ditch. Mr. Bear was coming in and eating windfall apples off the ground around the tree.
