Yep, I think nothing about crawling into a hole with one but won't walk through tall weeds till it frosts.Yeah a little warm still and saw a timber rattler big as my arm last weekend trail riding. Think I will wait a bit. Pretty silly when you think about it will get face to face with a bear in a hole but wont chase them because we might step on a snake!
One of my neighbors uses the snap on the end of the reins to kill rattlers. Told me they killed 3 that way a couple weeks ago while moving cows. Another neighbor carries hobbles.
