Bad eye

We sold two bred cows this week, middle aged, in good shape, 6-7 months bred.
The braford cow was hard to catch so I finally caught her, when she came through the ring her right eye was bloody like a cancer eye cow, I never noticed anything wrong with her eye, she was perfectly fine when I cut her out, I'm sure she went nuts and ran into something.
We do a lot of business with this barn, so we told them not to worry about.
She brought $.82/lb, we made money on her but should have been 3-$400 more.
She weighed around 1,100.
The other was a skunk tail cow, she brought $1.02.

You sold the skunk tail as bred and they still weighed her up? Even when the packers buy bred cows here they buy them by the head unless there's something wrong with the cow; bad limp, checked open , bat $hit crazy in the ring, Ect

Yes, they sold her by the lb.

The skunk tail cow brought over $1k, I have her calf in the weaning pen, he's 600 plus, but skunk tail, he's really beefy but will get docked.
We paid $300 for the skunk tail cow summer before last.
