Yeah, cowpeas will grow here, but no one will know what they are.
I once was a regular seller at a local farmer's market. White half-runner beans were the only bean (or pea) that you could sell.
I'm like you on the Dixie Red Speckled. We tried cooking them a couple of times and they were near inedible. Sure were pretty dried and stored in a Mason jar.
