Wheelchair with a hole in the seat, but nowadays, (been 40 years since I first visited Japan) the Japanese have pretty much gotten away from that type toilet and moved to a more standard type, but many of them are pretty elaborate, with different kinds of flushing controls on the side of the thing.
Back then too, their 'bathing' arrangements in Japan and much of the West Pacific nations just consisted of a wooden pan on the floor with a little stool to sit on. Called a Hinoki bucket. Floor was slatted wood, over a tile subfloor with a drain in it.
In the places that did actually have a bath tub, it too was wooden.
Thailand & Vietnam, was much more rudimentary.
