In the small pen in which I keep
my bottle calves,is an aloe plant
about 500mm high.I noticed all
the calves knibble on the plant.
Now,I wonder if it is some kind
of remedy for a specific cattle
illness. It reminds me of a dog
eating grass,if its stomach isn't
well.
If that's the case, are there any
other indigenous plants in other
parts of the world which cattle
knibble to cure sicknesses?
The aloe plant is used in cosmetic products and
medicine for human in South Africa.
Any one using natural remedies
to treat cattle illnesses?
