First, a cow is in standing heat A.M. and is bred in the P.M.
After she is bred, the standing heat is observed for several more hours. Is this something that can happen, or
would she need to be re-bred?

As you can see from the chart, standing heat can continue for several hours after AIing at the best time.

No, it's a copy from a black and white I copied from the manual I got when I did AI school back I think in the 70s. It was from Carnation Genetics and they have been out of business for 30 years.
