The smorning when I went to feed my cows one of them didn't get up to eat she layed at the bottome end of the field and finally after yelling at her for a minute she slowly made her way up to eat but didn't end up eating much. She has seperated herself from the herd (not very far) but has not layed down since the smorning at 9:00am and it is now 10:00pm. She just went out and stood in the middle of the field, the rest of the cows are laying down now but she is still standing up almost in the same spot, I once saw her try to sit down but she never quite got there. She has a big bag and when you look at her head on as I have been told she is not as fat anymore (she was a lot fatter the day before), dose this mean the calf is positioning to come out? Also her back end is not swollen I have 2 other cows due to calf within the next week or so that have very swollen vulvas. She is not loose in the back at all. It just dosen't look like the calf will come out if it starts coming now. Do all cows have to be swollen on there back end for the calf to come out easily? And is it a bad sign that she isn't swollen for the calf to come because I think it's coming?
