$55/Bale grass hay

Cut a small patch yesterday evening , didn't get the field across the road and I was waiting to cut because of that . Finally got all the other field moved yesterday afternoon , I got to get a bigger trailer .

No, only if making baleage/silage. I have wrapped dry hay before and it is as green coming out as it was when wrapped. A good way to keep hay if you don't have the barn space.....its sort of like shrink wrapping it.


i figured the lack of oxygen in dry hay would result in some molds or something.
 
"They" recommend mid range moisture, but I have seen it wrapped IN THE RAIN all the way down to almost ready to bale dry. Seems to keep no matter what.
Biggest thing - you cannot let them sit long before wrapping. If you get ANY heat in them, they will ruin.
