I was in my pasture tonight and all of a sudden the cows took off running from me and looked on the other side of the fence I figured it was a coyote or something. They kept looking and jumping the calves took off running and never looked back so I started walking towards them and seen one snake striking at the cows so I yelled and tried to scare the cows away. I realized I didn't have my rifle or shotgun just handgun. I had a hoe on my truck from working today grabbed that then realized I would tear my fence up so I hit the snake on the other side of the fence. I then jumped over the fence used the hoe to push the electric fence down... GUESS WHAT... I almost stepped on the other in the leaves on the other side. It was right beside my foot I couldn't see the head or tail so I gave the other a good head whack then went on the hunt to figure where the head was it started moving found the head gave a good whack.. I killed the snake and my hoe.
