1st calf heifers

Sorry Bigcheese, your question got by me. I did use a Charolais bull on these heifers. So far they have calved without any problems. Since I posted this, another has calved a red white face calf.....my notes show that she also managed to get in the pasture with Daddy for a day or so.

We are going to put a Charolais on a few beef heifers and some half beef half Longhorn heifers and I was a little worried about it but if your doing good with it it eases my worry a little bit lol.

Nice calves.....if i had my way our calves would all be colored like this...not liking all the black ones now. We were looking for a new calf the other day, i had only seen it once.. Husband asked what it looked like. I stared at him for a second and said, "Its black?" lol.
