    Fencing with Feedlot Panels

Along the road, the feedlot panels will be more work. There is a fence down from me exactly as you describe, but it is also across from a T intersection. There are 3 patch jobs now. I wouldn't use the feedlot panels next to a road because of the work it would require to repair.

    Fencing with Feedlot Panels

Prices wise, it is expensive up front. However, life expectancy is much much longer than woven wire. I would figure at minimum twice as long, if not pushing 3 times. Over that many years, price drops drastically. Cheaper than continuous fence though. I ultimately would like a all pipe fence

    Fencing with Feedlot Panels

I looked at the continuous fencing, holy moly that stuff is high.

    Fencing with Feedlot Panels

Thanks guys. The link is the panel that I was looking at. Not looking to build a pen, this is a perimeter fence on one side of the property for now. With potential to become perimeter around the whole property. I would build using 2-3/8" STD pipe. This would be just a perimeter fence with...

    Fencing with Feedlot Panels

Anybody built a fence using feedlot panels before? I got about 600ft of fence I need to replace and thinking of using feedlot panels and making 16ft sections. Quite possible would end up re-fencing all the property with this too.

    loading a bull into trailer

Good backup plan right there, put a cow in heat in the trailer. Sounds like he will run up into the trailer then.

    Sample Lease Agreement

Does anyone have a cattle land lease agreement that is simplified and could share with me? I finally made some progress on the land by me to lease and was able to get the owners to agree on a long term lease duration. I tried my USDA office and they don't have anything. I've looked at some...

My wife said I was crazy...

Exactly and names are numbers. Its all a method of identification. For a small herd, names can be just as easily used as numbers. Some of mine have names and some are referred to by a description like "old momma with horns" or "old momma without horns". I feel the whole children thing is...

This one was lightning. I did find a lightning protector box that can be reset, but I need to read up on it some more.

    C&B Farm & Outdoors Panels

Not sure if it was the exact video you spoke of, but I did watch o ne video that was a girl speaking and two guys working. They used a pair of pliers and would twist to get to the next link. I'm going to do the Preifert panels. I've always known the name as good products and they are the...

    Zareba Pro Series

Well 6 days out of Warranty and Zareba tells me unless I have my receipt, they cannot help me. Based on the serial number (EC141206TN00699) the unit was built 12/6/14 which is the 141206 numbers at the beginning. Looks like I'll be opening the case to see if I can troubleshoot the problem...

    C&B Farm & Outdoors Panels

Yep, you are correct. I was thinking they had the Rough Stock panel line, but that model requires a connector post to tie panels together.

    C&B Farm & Outdoors Panels

Thanks dun. Are the Premier panels quality panels and not Tractor Supply quality panels? I had borrowed some panels two years ago to catch a crazy heifer, but the guy didn't remember where he got them from.

    C&B Farm & Outdoors Panels

Does anybody have any experience with the portable panels from C&B Farm & Outdoors in Alabama? I'm looking at building a 20x20 pen that will be subdivided in half, then have a 90deg sweep and 20ft alley. Priefert is $3,069 for their Premier parts, C&B is $3,925 for their heavy duty, and Big...

    Working pens

    I'm interested in some pictures if you can get some. I priced out material based on your list and not a bad price overall. 52 – 1x6x16 treated SYP @ $ 12.00 each totaling $ 624.00 5 – 1x6x14 treated SYP @ $ 10.45 each totaling $ 52.25 5 – 1x6x8 treated SYP @ $ 5.99 each totaling $ 29.95 21 –...

    Working pens

That makes sense. What did you use for gates? Made them with wood or used metal gates?
