Seen a bull calf today at a sale I had a cow consigned to out of this bull, talk about hip! You couldn't have built this calf much better if you tried. He had a rump that wouldn't stop! Has anyone used or seen any progeny from this bull?

He's a pretty old bull. And if memory serves me correct he wasnt a really big bull frame wise.

It was Sitz New Design 349M I believe was what his name was. I've seen good and bad in thunder personally but would be worth more than dumping on the ground for sure.

Yes he is nice too. I honestly doubt I'll use any show bulls and just keep showing performance bred cattle when we choose to show .. Although that bull could make some amazing calves for the ring im sure.

Well I definitely don't want anything mean as my 5 yr old will be showing them. And yes the Ced sucks on him but to get the right calf crossed on the right cow in would use him.

Anyone used this bull? Wondering what his calves come like? His BW EPD is a bit troubling for me although I have a couple cows I think he would work on maybe for a few show type calves.

I agree with the commercial breed association statement, but how many producers of commercial cattle would be willing to provide information. I have only registered cattle but I don't pamper and pet them and expect them to work under harsh conditions.

In your opinion from all the stud directories what bull stands out as a female maker???

I personally would use Angus Valley before Iron Mountain (on milk EPD alone). Both are good looking animals but I chose to use Angus Valley this spring hopefully I will see the fruits of labor next spring
