    Anyone Else Getting "Fishy"pm's?

Ok, since when is asking someone to come over to your ranch and discus a problem face to face a threat? Yes I am a medically retired cop from Southern California, spending 17 proud years in a multi jurisdictional anti terrorist task force, so I know what a threat is and I know how to handle...

    Anyone Else Getting "Fishy"pm's?

Yes, you got it, did not think that someone would actually think I ment they sprayed it on fields. Spraying is just easier than placing a 1 pound fish every Square Yard of your pasture. (I am kidding people!)

    Anyone Else Getting "Fishy"pm's?

Yes I do spray fish and seaweed on our Hay and Grazing pastures, worked for the American Indians for 1,000s of years.

    Anyone Else Getting "Fishy"pm's?

Yes it was Me, do we have a problem? I tried to take care of this Man to Man or Man to Person but you feel the need to get back up. All I do is post opinions just like everyone else and I am getting very tired of folks attacking me, my post and my way of doing things naturally. I know most folks...

    Spreading fertilize and spraying ?

If you have to spray for weeds.... I would do that first. I would not get the weed healthy then spray it, kinda wastes the fertilizer if you ask me. I do know that cimmeron or alliy will not work as well if sprayed after a fertilization. Brad

    Bermuda grass establishment time?

I would concider that pasture a hay meadow for this year and be happy to get a cutting or two from it. I think that the hay equipment might be a little more eazy on the new pastures then the cows might be, I would be afraid that the cows might be pulling to much on the shallow and young roots...

    chicken liter verse's commercial fertlizer.

When you comparing Chemical Fertilizer with Organic it is like comparing apples with oranges. With Chemicals you have to worry about loosing the nitrogen due to evaporation if it does not rain in a few days. Or loss of some of the NPK do to run off or leaching if it rains too much. With organic...

    Liming prices

I sure would like to but if I do that on the board, I get pelted with rocks and bottles and they run me out of town! Anyone that would like more information about the Organic Program can click on the www button on the bottom of my message and can read all about it and contact me from there. I...

    Soil testing questions.

I would not say that..... A&M has done several fine test on Organic with great results. Look up Micro Oranizims reducing Fire Ants, and the study that A&M did with the city of Austin.

East Texas Farm of the Year!

The Lane's are not "Ceritfied Organic" They do use a Liquid Organic Program. Sounds to me like you have been doing your homework! What I deam as Organic and what the USDA deams as Organic are two different things. The Government has taken over the Certified Organic classifications and pretty...

    Soil testing questions.

I have heard, (from the students the do the testing themselfs) that A&M will lump all the soil tests in the same counties, and send all the same results. I have heard the same about SFA, although I do not know any students there. In other words if they already did one test from Smith Co. Texas...

    Liming prices

All I am saying is that if you stop using chemicals such as herbicide, pesticide and granular/chemical fertilizers, you will not need to lime. Organic practices will turn your ph back to normal in a year or two and it will stay that way. I do not know how long the place laid idle before I...

    Liming prices

The cleared land around here would be about the same, mainly because of all the pine needles. But, by putting the soil on a organic program you can change it back to normal.
