I just didn't feel right about it from the start. Then my sister made a good point. She said, when Lincoln (my son) asks dad, how did we build this ranch? Do I really wanna answer, well I asked for money on the Internet and got it? So I took it down. I think I would rather have a private investor
Not even 24 hours and I deleted it. 10 hours into a night shift last night it seemed like a great idea, but the more I think about it the more dirty I feel. So how would I feel if it ever raised that much. Deleted account and campaign.
I still think that what our industry needs is some sort of...
Oh trust me, doing it on my own tastes much sweeter, I just saw all these yahoo's on there and thought, why not. Back on night shift tonight and I honestly just feel dirty about it. For some reason I have a bad taste in my mouth.
So the other night at work I was looking at Kickstarter and go fund me sites and could not believe the amount of people asking for money for the stupidest things. From the guy caught in the Calgary stampede sex video asking to fund a welding truck to someone wanting money for a hot dog and...
Thanks everyone for the tips. Now with Rausch's, is there something going on there that they have so many dams of dinstinction a year compared to the breeders in 2-10th place? Almost all other breeders in the top of that list dont add up to one ranch. If it sounds too good to be true, it...
Aaron, they had bulls at Calgary. Peter Ulrich made it sound like they kept the bred heifers and heifer calves. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought they were staying in it. Same with Anderson's, sold mature cows to Hirsche, kept bred heifers, bulls, and heifer calves.
Thanks, I just looked at Langford's website, looks like they got a bunch of Allen Henderson cows down there. Bunch of their herd sires are out of LPG dams, thats Hendersons from Alberta. My dad and breeder I just bought 47 cows off of said they have some of the best in the business but...
Thanks, was also going to go from Rapid City to Buffalo, WY to White Cattle Co., then up to Sheridan, WY to NJW Polled herefords, down to Torrington, WY to Ochsner's, but might put that into a different trip through Wyoming and Colorado.
Well guys I am planning a hereford tour for this summer or next. These are the places I am planning on going to, anyone I missed who is worth seeing along this route? especially in western Iowa, Eastern Nebraska and SE South Dakota and Southern North Dakota. This is the order of places I was...
Supposedly they are doing some DNA work on the Irish Blacks. I believe they think they are more or less Welsh Black cattle. Herd from a fellow Welsh Black breeder that the creators of the Irish Blacks bought a bull from him to start this DNA work on. That was 2 years ago, not sure what the...
Hello all, was looking at some cows to buy here and their back legs were bothering me. Got home thinking they walked bad and looked through my cows and they walk the same. Now its got me questioning if I have cows with terrible rear leg conformation. Could someone post a video of a bull and a...

Looked all over the internet and this forum for how much garlic to add to a 50lb bag of mineral for my cows. Found absolutely nothing on how much to use, found alot about how it works so great but no one says how much to give each cow. Has anyone used garlic powder for fly control and how much...
I'm willing to wait. If we dont get another big rain in Saskatchewan guys are in trouble. Spring came a month late and the grass is still maturing at its regular rate, so the alfalfa will be blooming soon and right now its only 6" high in the hollows. There will be cheap cows yet. There are...
