    For a freeze calf feed free choice, but start with higher alfalfa and oats ration, and slowly move to a heavier mix of corn. The cor adds fat, the aflafa and oats grows the frame. Believe me you cant start heavy on the corn, it will be a disaster for you.

    Its simple, they can put in cheap feed and get lower grade beef. I promise you they have done the math and they are doing whats best for them. More americans can afford lower grade beef.
