What you have to remember is that the land value is part of your profit. If you can come anywhere close to breaking even and end up with 300 acres free and clear thats a pretty good amount of money. Best of luck and I think you can do it if you are careful.

After 2-3 days it will get a lot better every day. I dont trust calves for a week though. Even after they stop making a lot of noise they are still on edge and will be taking advantage of any chance of excape.

Cattle are graded on 3 frame sizes ( L, M and S) and 3 muscle thickness(1,2 and 3). When I was running stockers I wanted #2 calves because I could buy more frame and less fat and then they would gain very well on good grass and grain.
