    Round Balers

The rake has nothing to do with the weight of the bale. Your windrow can be very light or very heavy and the bale weight will be the same. It will just take more feet of windrow to make a bale with a light one. What determines the bales weight is, the moisture content of the hay, the type of...

    Round Balers

I had that baler for 10 years. I weighed many loads of hay and none ever weighed 700-800 lbs. My coastal weighed 500-550. Have you actually weighed your hay? If so, what kind and what moisture content?

    Sharpening shredder blades

If you can't get them off with a cheater or impact wrench, heat up the nut with a torch. It will expand and can then be unloosen. When you put them back on apply anti-sieze compound to both the threads on the bolt and nut.

    September Sales Numbers...

With the sorry mpg of the new Super Dutys I am not suprised. Plus I understand that they still have turbo lag even with two turbos.. Of course the Dodges keep clogging up the Particulate filters.

    1/2 or 3/4 ton?

My dad had a 3/4 ton 1952 International truck with stock racks made by Hale Trailer. He took an old dairy cow down to the slaughter house in Ft Worth. In the middle of traffic that cow jumped straight up and over the side of the racks. After that dad put some steel rings in the bed of the truck...

    1/2 or 3/4 ton?

    05. Rides like a tank. If you hit a bump in the road it trys to jerk the steering wheel out of your hand. Ford has tightened up the steering gearbox and I have put on a heavy duty stabilizer but still not good. I have also tried lowering the tire pressure from the recommended 75 to 55ps. Still...

    1/2 or 3/4 ton?

I have a Ford diesel 3/4 ton and won't buy another. It rides rough, mpg isn't that much better than a gasser, and as was mentioned diesel has been higher than gas for most of the last 3 years. A 1/2 ton Ford with the towing package will be my next truck.

    Post hole digger

I think that crawling off and on a tractor would be a pain for every post that I had to drive.

    Post hole digger

I didn't buy the post pounder for several reasons. Number 1 it takes two men to run it. Number two if you are building a new fence in a completely clear fence line it works fine but what if you are rebuilding an old fence line with trees in it. You would have to back up for each post. To...

    Post hole digger

I have a Bush Hog post hole digger with a down force cylinder. It is suppose to give you 500 lbs of down pressure. My soil is black gumbo with red clay and sandstone below that. So far, nothing has stopped it from digging. BTW, it does have a slip clutch which is a good thing because if you push...

    3 point pumps

I use to use my roller pump to fill up my 100 gallon spray tank out of the creek and pond. It would take 20 minutes to fill up the tank. I finally give up and bought a 3.5hp water pump with a 2" port. I can now fill up a tank in a couple of minutes. As slow as roller pumps pump, you would be...

Is there an easy way to drive "T" posts

You wouldn't if you had my hard ground. I have a 90 hp cab tractor with 4wheel drive and loader weighs in at around 10000 lbs. If you try to drive a post it just lifts the front end of the tractor off of the ground.

Is there an easy way to drive "T" posts

I will give that a try. I had tried pushing my toe against the spade but not actually pushing down like a shovel. Thanks

Is there an easy way to drive "T" posts

I use this.http://www.rohrermfg.com/ It only takes a small air compressor. I have an air compressor and my bobcat welder on a trailer. So far I have driven about 100 posts with it. Sometimes the post bounces around a little before starting going into the ground. I am going to try sharpening...

    Tractor Supply T Posts?

I bought 200 of those mexican made t posts and will not buy anymore. Some are not straight, some have jagged tops, and some are too brittle - when you try to drive them in, the top breaks..

    3 breakdowns in 12 hours

Green is definetly the way to go. Bales are tight and parts are available now, not in a week.
