Haven't been on in a while.

This is a friend of mine; he's a super nice guy.
He likes beef and all that jazz, but once in a while there's a cow or critter that just works their way into your heart.

He's trying to buy her off the farm he works at, works hard, but as we know, almost anything in the agriculture field is tough going and the bills always seem higher than the profits. (He also raises chickens)
He's trying to generate funds to take her home. He's never kept a cow before so he needs to get a few supplies for her too.

Please NO negativity or nasty comments.

If you have nothing positive to say just move along.

Thank you.

Here's their story.

Can anyone explain gofundme rules to me?

This is the only information I found.
Fees: 5% go to gofundme and 2.9% + .30 for each donation made go to wepay.
$650 donated so far on goal of $2,000 currently $55.55 in fees = 8.55% total fees
$2,000 goal = $171 in fees = $1829 NET

What happens if goal is not achieved?
Is there a time limit to reach a goal?
When are the donations released or made available to the recipient to spend?

If the goal is not achieved, it doesn't really matter. The goal is just an abstract value set by the person requesting donations.
If a person sets a goal of $2000 and only receives $1000 in donations, then that's what the person gets (minus the fees mentioned)
If a person sets a $2000 goal and receives $1 million, then the person gets $1 million (again minus the fees)
