It would be cool if the post count only counted posts from all the forums except the coffee shop. Then the count would better represent knowledge and contribution, instead of coffee shop chatter that boosts post count.

I agree as I have just got my first red star, and I do not count myself as a GURU I would never put myself up there with Caustic, Beefy, and the rest or Crowder for that matter, as I know nothing about rasing cattle and have never pretended to, I just come on Coffee Shop as I find it entertaining and have said when I first introduced myself it was just for the fun of the coffee shop, and was welcomed onto the boards. I know there are a few more like me here, just for a laugh and cyber friendship. It's only a name, real GURU's are a religoius teaching master in India anyway. as far as I have been told :???: :lol:

I could be wrong here too but, I think that most of the helpful suggestions and useful information is shared thru the private messages anymore.

The only problem with that is the possibility that the PM could have helped dozens of people instead of just one.
