Are all our Arkansas and Kentucky folks ok? Terrible tragedy with the tornadoes in Arkansas and western Kentucky last night. Praying for all the folks there.

Storms went north and south of us last night. Friends' farm at south end of county took a direct hit... not sure what all got wrecked, but early photos look pretty bad.
Gotta drive up toward Dawson Springs this morning to check on the lakehouse property.

Missed most of the extreme weather and has past us now. Wind was bad all night but no damage at 6:00 when I was out. Will go out again soon and check fences.

I’m fortunate! Our farm is about 25 miles west of Mayfield, but we’re fine. My wife is a traveling wound care nurse and unfortunately some of her facilities she oversees were destroyed. It’s a sad time here in Western Ky. Our prayers are with everyone impacted!

That is just awful looking. And looks like most were some pretty well constructed homes and businesses too. I don't see how anyone survived it.

We're ok here, farm is in good shape, cattle doing well. Missed us about 1/2 a mile. Lots of devastation. Couldn't find a route into Princeton. The UK Research Station took a beating. Dawson Springs and Mayfield will never look the same. Praying for the ones whom loss everything and love ones.

The pastor at Troy’s service yesterday shared the story of how he huddled his family in a bathroom and shielded them with a mattress from the tornado that struck his farm some years ago. I thought is was terribly ironic that the day he was laid to rest another massive storm moved through the area.
