Texas dad not charged in killing of daughter's alleged molester

Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon said Monday he doesn't anticipate arresting the father following Saturday's killing near Shiner. Harmon said nothing so far suggests the beating death happened for "any reason other than what he told us."

Well at least it prevents him from being a repeat offender with some other little girl!

I will say that it probably helped the father a lot living in a smaller community where you're likely to have known your neighbors for decades or maybe even your whole life and they know your character and know when there's no reason to bring charges against him. In the bigger cities they have no sense of reason about such things.
